This build is available as a (sandboxed) MSIX application installer and as an (unsandboxed) MSI/EXE traditional installer. I suspect this has something to do with APUb's Fields panel where in Document Statistics the file name can be inserted into a text field in the document. We are pleased to announce an update for the Windows release of Affinity Designer 2, version 2.3.0 The filename is also updated in the Dock immediately. If the file has been closed first in APub then open recent works fine. However, if while the file is open in APub after changing its name in Finder & I use File > Open Recent, the name is updated there, but if I try to select it there, the app hangs & I have to force quit it to continue. It appears that on Macs, the filename updates immediately in the toolbar Status in AD & AP but not in APub. It even works using undo in Finder to revert the name to the unchanged version.ĮDIT: I should have done more testing. Interestingly, if only the name is changed in Finder, there is no * added to the filename in the toolbar Status because there is no unsaved change to the file & it can be closed without a warning to save it. I can confirm that I see the same thing on my Mac - the change occurs in real time & can be seen in the toolbar if the Status item is visible. Are you saying that you have the file Open in the Affinity application, and while it is Open you rename it in Finder, and the application recognizes that change and updates the UI to show the new file name?
